####Intent My girlfriend wanted a "thing" to hold the paper roll in the kitchen and since I have a printer she asked if I could "make something" - Sure! ####Obstacles Because I wanted the construction to be heavy I figured I wanted it filled with something. So I had to make it hollow and I also wanted a way to prevent the roll from coming off. Another thought was that I wanted it to be printed without any support due to the the design. ####Measurements See "Paper roll holder blueprint.pdf" ####Parts List * Top knob.stl * Threaded joint.stl * Lid with threaded shaft.stl * Bottom.stl ####Required Hardware * [9 x M2.5x10 mm countersunk Phillips self tapping screws](https://hobbyking.com/en_us/metal-flat-head-self-tapping-sharp-tail-phillip-screw-m2-5x10-10pcs-set.html) * [1 x M4x30 screw (from 25 to 35 mm is OK)](https://hobbyking.com/en_us/metal-round-head-machine-hex-screw-m4x36-10pcs-set.html) * [Sand or other heavy material](https://www.xpatathens.com/timthumb.php?src=/media/k2/items/cache/f392dca2e0ea5962c7044bec76e29378_L.jpg&w=750&h=430&zc=1&q=95) ####Assembly Screw the "Lid with threaded shaft" part to the "Bottom" part and fill it up with sand. A small way up the shaft is good. Then use some kind of glue or stomp the shaft with a paper tissue to prevent the sand from going everywhere if it tips over. Screw the "threaded Joint" to the "Top Knob" with the M4 screw and tighten fairly hard. A good practice is to use a dab of CA glue between the two parts so it doesn't come loose when you unscrew and change the roll. ####Footnote Please let me know if you come up with a re-make of my creation.
