Final Revision to my entry. Parts have been redesigned for plastic molding. The tank is blow molded, and the rest of the parts are injection molded. All parts have a 2.5 degree draft, ribs and bosses. Principle is basic, you push down on the tank, and pull the paper towel. Whatever liquid you have in either of the 2 tanks will saturate a strip on the paper towel. I.E. Windex and Simple Green. Operation: Pushing down on the tanks depresses pump (basically an upside down spray bottle). Fluid flows to sponge cup. While pressing down the tank forces sponge into position, the sponge cover sweeps out of the way. Sponge becomes saturated with liquid and makes contact with paper towel. Paper towel is pulled and sponge deposits liquid onto paper towel. Sponge cup acts as reservoir to keep sponge saturated. It also aids in retaining excess liquid. Tanks is raised by pump spring and sponge mechanism spring at two points of contact. Releasing the pressure on tank allows springs to move tank, sponge and sponge cover to their original position. To refill tanks, simply pull up on tank and lift out (tank floats in place). Turn over, remove cap and pump, and refill. To replace sponge, remove the tank, and pull up on sponge cup center spindle to remove sponge. Simply drop new sponge cup onto spindle post, and replace tank. Support tube for paper towel has floating adjustable position, allowing for extra large paper towels. Could be used in many professions. I.E. painters, mechanics, tattoo artists, teachers...etc., etc. Replacement tanks would be sold in the household chemical section at the local market, or online. Replacement package would contain 2 tanks with pumps, and 2 replacement sponges. Tanks are essential upside down spray bottles, so replacement cost should be reasonable. I tried to tie in a clean, green, leaf-like design into this version. The embossed emblem atop the tank could be anything, I went with a leaf. I've developed 3 main color schemes White with clear tanks Black with transparent smoked gray tanks And an off-white with transparent green tanks I still need to rework the rib supports underneath the base plate. Flow analysis at pump has not been done. I couldn't decide on a snap fit assembly or a screw together assembly so I went with the latter. Can be adapted to snap assembly.
