Paper Towel Holder & Dispenser (Single-handed use)

This is a bent metal (3 mm or less - made from steel it would now weigh 1.5 kg) paper towel holder. It could be made of plastic but it has to be a sturdy one. When I'm in the kitchen needing a paper towel I really NEED a paper towel - because my hands are wet, dirty or bloody. And with only one free hand I try to tear one towel from the roll but most of the time that won't work. Towel holders that stand upright are prone to toppling over unless they have a very heavy base. They are doomed! In my eyes a towel holder that just holds the towel roll is grossly inefficient and useless. And I've never met a towel holder that worked properly. When the customer sees the various paper towel holders in store he has to think: "That product solves my needs." And a paper towel holder on which you have to use both hands doesn't. To give UMBRA that edge I designed a wall mounted metal holder with an edge for tearing one towel off. The arms are bent at a certain angle (more than 90 degrees but the exact angle has yet to be determined) and they apply pressure at the cardboard center. They grip tight but not too tight. You grab the towel through the space in front, pull until you see the perforation and tear it off upwards. For changing rolls you bend one side outwards, take the empty cardboard tube out and insert a new one. The first pictures show the basic functional thing, designed to suit manufacture (and cleaning) needs. The next pictures are essentially the same thing but with more design slapped on.
