This is a Solar powered Animatronic Butterfly. She can be placed on a table top or hung on a wall. She will flap her wings in the lightest of breezes.http://youtu.be/J1WN8wXH8_8 The Solar cell circuit is based around a "Miller Engine" , it basically charges up a 1 Farad capacitor and then ports this power in one go to the motor that drives the wings. This configuration allows her to work in very low light conditions...however she is very active in full sunlight. Instructions Required Solar Miller Engine :- (search string) SCC3733a-MSE Fast Bundle 1 Required Motor :- (search string) GM 10 Gear Motor 10 - Geared pager motor The STL files are not orientated for printing , adjust for your printer. Care should be taken whilst printing the Motor Body Housing (ie use support material) The Center crank guide need to be cut in the groovy thing. This will allow easy install of the Wing crank center bit. The Wing cranks need to be trimmed to size to suit... The wing nubs are used to clamp the wings to the wing cranks. Print 2 large yelllow spots and 4 small yellow spot - they attach to the wings for giving her that outstanding look.
