Paracord / Rope / Guyline Tensioner / Adjuster - 6 Designs, 2 Sizes Each
I recently purchased a new tent (1.5 person ultralight hiking tent - managed to kill my last one on an 850 km high alpine hike last summer). Very nice, light (20D nylon), but came with only 2 guylines (not much on a stormy night high up in the mountains), so the first thing I did was to add some mounts on the tent and add a few more guylines (for which I use simple 2 mm paracord) - which, however, needed those little plastic things to tighten the guylines, whatever they are called. ;-) VARIANTS I wanted to try out a few different designs, so here my take on paracord tensioners. I had to slightly modify some designs to make them easier to print but basically these are all traditional designs (usually made of aluminum). They come in six different designs and 2 sizes each (the small ones being for approx. 2 mm, the larger ones for roughly 4 mm and you can scale them to pretty much any size you need): - Variant A: this is the design I have been using on all my tents - light, easy to use and works great - Variant B: undoubtedly the fanciest design, works well but not the fastest to use - Variant C: very simple and works well (make sure it does not bend, so increase height if needed) - Variant D: just like B, except that it can easily be removed - Variant E: I had used these previously, small efficient when done in aluminium - Variant F: very simple and efficient triangular design - Variant G: Not much experience with this simple design but looks good to me FILAMENT - Use something really strong. My recommendation (and what I use) is this incredibly easy to print Carbon Fiber PLA , which is tough and gives this beautiful soft touch and semi-gloss shine to all prints. PRINTING Printing is super easy. Print at 0.2+ resolution and with approx. 50%+ infill (infill should not matter much as the size is so small that you will likely end up with close to 100% infill anyways). No supports or build plate adhesion needed (other than what you always use). INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE You would think all you need is to just thread the paracord through the little holes and it works.... Well kind of. However you really need to know where to start (if you know just ignore). I looked around a little for a good site with instructions. What I came up with is instructions for use on this site (you don't need to buy them - you can actually print them - but their instructions are really good and I did not want to steal their images). Hope this helps. I really hope you like the design and find it useful. If you feel like tipping (thanks in advance), rather than clicking the "Tip Designer" button, PLEASE donate to UKRAINE (or any other people in need). There is a cold winter ahead and these people will need any help they can get! THANKS!!
HOPE YOU LIKE THEM, AND IF YOU LIKE THEM, PLEASE LIKE THEM. THANKS!

Enjoy and happy printing!
