Paraglider Laser Line Measure

Please consider a tip if you like this thing and you find it useful... I wanted to create an easy to make and setup way available for everybody to run mm accuracy line measure on a paraglider wing. This can come handy if you feel your wing is misbehaving and you want to analyze reasons and create a plan to fix. What you will need for this thing: ~2m machined pinewood 40mmx10mm profile (you will cut it into 3 pieces) - 1x Skateboard bearing (e.g. 608 Z) - 2x M8 bolts 75mm (head included) with nuts - 1x M8 bolt 55mm (head included) with nut - 2x M8 washers - 2x M3 bolts 25mm with nuts - 1x M3 bolts 50mm with nut - 8x Mx bolts 25mm - piece of rope - 3-4 kg counterweight - A laser measure tool - Quick grips to fasten the tool to a bench or stand Assembly: 1. Pulley end - Push the Bearing into the Pulley using a vice or just hammer it - Place the pulley in position to the pulley holder and use spacers on both sides before putting through the 55mm M8 bolt, washers both sides and a locknut to fix. - cut 1.2m meter 40x10 profile wood and place it in the pulley end gap - use a 2.5mm drill to drill holes to the wood across the pulley end printed holes - use 25mm m3 bolts to secure the wood in place, just screw into the wood. 2. The sled - two printed parts on both sides on the sled - cut ~700mm 40x10 profile wood. - The raiser join sled with the M8 holes will house the wood only half way in the slow. Drill with 2.5mm drill and secure with m3 bolts - The other side will have the ring sled without holes the wood goes all through and you can adjust where it sits based on the size of the raisers, drill and secure same way. - Secure the reflector to the hinge piece with 2xM3 25mm - The attach the hinge to the sled with the M3 50mm - The 2x M8 Bolts go through on the raiser sled, one has the rope attached towards the pulley, the other will have the raiser attached. - The rope goes through the pulley and the counterweight is attached. - The reflector can be flipped up while attaching the raiser and flip back down after in measure position. The reflector also can be adjusted forward and back to align with the raiser. 3. Measure sled - The Measure sled can house different line hole inserts. I designed 3 (A,B,C). Insert one for se up - Use the leftover 40x10mm profile wood to put the measure sled on. - Line up and put the laser measure in place with blu-tak - You might want to put some felt layer on the right side of the sled bottom sliding on the surface and keeping the measure sled level...
