Parallel Box Desktop Organizer

Parallel Box Desktop Organizer

I wanted to create a desktop organizer that would work well in both an office and maker-space environment. This project consists of three files. The Desk Organizer Body has your standard pen/pencil/screwdriver/scissors holders, a shallow bowl, and USB/SD Card holders. This single file can work as a standalone desktop organizer. The Desk Organizer Tackle Stack is an assembly of 3 parallel moving boxes connected with linkages. Two of these prints fit neatly in the bowl of the main body. They are print-in-place assemblies that don't need any support. (Printing support will help with the appearance, but it's not necessary) The Desk Organizer Cover not only hides any mess you might have in the boxes, but it also doubles as a multi-compartment holder if you turn it upside down. I often take apart electronics and this will help keep tiny screws organized. *One of the pictures above shows M&M's in the shallow bowl. Please don't store any food in FDM prints. I only put the M&M's there for the picture.
