Parametric Bed Level Test

Parametric Bed Level Test

I thought I had my nozzle height dialed in, until I did a print that covered the whole bed. Then I found out my print wouldn't stay stuck. So obviously I needed something to test the whole area of the print bed. I couldn't find anything like this on Thingiverse, so I decided to have a crack at it. This is an easily customizable bed level test file to help you with leveling and adhesion issues on your 3d printer's print bed, and it's also useful for testing the practical X and Y limits of any size print bed. Not bad for half an hour of head scratching. How do you know if your nozzle height is set correctly? Here's how... 1. If the lines of filament don't stick to each other and the first layer is easily pulled apart, your nozzle is too high. 2. If the lines of filament stick together, can't be pulled apart, but show lumps/ridges or the top feels rough when you run your finger over it, your nozzle is too low. 3. If the lines of filament stick together, can't be pulled apart, and the top looks and feels smooth to the touch, your nozzle is set to the correct height. Happy printing.
