No way to tripod mount your particular binoculars or telescope? Perhaps you have another cylindrical object you'd like to tripod mount? Update: For heavier binocluars, try http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1718859 Simply measure the diameter of the cylindrical part of your object, and plug it into the "barrel_diameter" variable, print, add a 1/4" 20 thread nut, and you're good to go! May not be ideal for heavier binocs/telescopes, but perfect for smaller field glasses and scopes. Print in the default rotation for best shear strength. Print Settings Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Solidoodle 4 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3mm Infill: solid Notes: You may or may not need supports for the hole in which the nut will be placed, but it might be a good idea to generate supports just to make sure the hole keeps its shape, enabling the nut to fit properly. I tried printing with no supports, and it actually worked fine. The hexagonal space for the nut was a bit tight, so I heated my nut on the stove and pushed it into the hole, where it fits nice and tight.
