Parametric Box
thingiverse
This FreeCAD project crafts a custom-sized case with a detachable lid. Detailed specs are outlined in a spreadsheet and prioritized from the inside out, as most of my cases are built to accommodate the contents within.\r\nThe primary structure boasts a rectangular footprint with rounded edges. The bottom panel can be flush with the sides or overhang them slightly, creating a lip for easy grasping when inserting or removing the lid.\r\nThe lid mirrors the bottom's shape (including a slight overhang) except that its walls have a narrower perimeter to allow it to fit snugly inside the primary structure's walls.\r\nThe interior dimensions of the case body are freely chosen, provided that exterior dimensions fall within the print volume's limits. Exterior dimensions are derived from the interior dimensions, as are most of the lid's specs.
