Parametric Can lid

Parametric Can lid

I created this to cover leftovers of cat food cans. You can adjust the OpenSCAD code as needed, especially the diameter (70 mm works well for small cat food cans like Pro-Plan Focus) and the label on the lid (like your pet's name, replace "Ramoncito" with your pet's name or the food you're covering). Open this in free OpenSCAD, edit to fit your needs, and save as STL. Don't print directly from the STL file unless your cat shares its name with me. Use TPU for printing! Print Settings: Printer Brand is RepRap, Printer is SmartRap Core, Rafts are optional, Supports are yes, Resolution is 0.2 mm, Infill is 20%. Notes: I highly recommend using TPU for flexibility. PLA and ABS didn't work well, as the lid was too rigid. Design Overview: This design consists of several OpenSCAD cylinders subtracted from each other, with a text extrusion for the label. It's my first attempt at 3D design and OpenSCAD.
