Summary Customizable crates! Perfect for all your 1/18 scale shipping requirements. Need to ship some contraband? Crates are the solution! Need to set up a convincingly industrial backdrop? Crates will do the trick! Figures need something to stand on to reach the top shelf? Crates have got you covered! Distressed about the current political climate? Unfortunately, crates won't help with that. You can create the crate, the lid, or both. If you make both, the lid should snap into place at the top of the crate. If you opt for handle holes, a pair of holes will be added on either side - simply thread some string through them to simulate rope handles. To get a good snap-fit, I usually: Take a flat needle file to the inside edges of the planks that stick up from the box Run an exacto knife along each side of the lid where it touches the vertical planks Be careful to remove just a little at a time and test the fit as you go, so you don't end up with an overly-loose lid.
