You know when you want to work on one of your many crochet projects but the hook you need has disappeared down the back of the sofa, or possibly rolled under the bookshelf, or by some other means gone to join the secret underground society of its fellows that all your craft supplies eventually escape to join? And you know how that always happens when the shops are shut and you can't buy a new one? Well fear not! This model allows you to print out a crochet hook of whatever dimension you want! If not, customize the length, diameter, grip thickness and so on to whatever your heart desires (your heart may find the chart of hook sizes at http://www.karpstyles.com/crochet/hook-chart.html useful in calibrating its desires), either by clicking the "Open in Customizer" button above or by downloading the SCAD file and editing it with OpenSCAD. All measurements are in millimetres. Print the STL file: I've been using 20% infill. You probably want a raft to prevent curling. This stage will take a few minutes; you may find that crocheting helps you to pass the ti... oh. File or sand off any rough edges; in particular you'll probably want to file down the steps on the throat. Try to find your now long-forgotten crochet project.
