Parametric customizer used spool refill filament adapter

UPDATED !!! 10-04-19 !! openscad file mistake in filament wholes..corrected ! Refill filament used on an old spool. dont get me wrong the masterspool from Richrap is oke but my problem is it takes ages to print. This takes about 3 hours to print and 5 minutes assembly and it uses far less plastic. Use 0.4 layer height if you can and it will print fine and fast. Please telll me how it worked for you !! As i had no problems with it using it. requirement: old spool, drill bit 5mm and 3 tie wraps ( cable ties) The parametric version is available so you can use it on any spool The outer diameter is 104.9 that is super tight on a master spool but i had no problem fitting it on the adapter. The inner circle of the adapter is 78mm. This is for my specific old spool but you can easily change this in the customizer .. the height of the adaptor is 45mm. Assembly : Cut the old spool in half , sand the cutted sides afterwards as flat as possible measure the distance from rim to end cut if it is more then 22mm you need to cut a piece of. The adaptor is 45mm so if its to long the adapter is too short. ( can be altered in customizer openscad file). push the adapter on one half spool and use the wholes as template to drill 5mm wholes through the half spool. place the refill with the cable tie knots on top and place the second half on top, Use the other side of the spool to drill the second 6 wholes all the way through. insert 3 tie cables into each first whole and tie them from the other wholes. cut the ends off and last but not least release( cut ) the masterspool tie cables.
