Parametric DeWalt Bit Holders

thingiverse

These openSCAD parametric object generates bits and blades holders for the DeWalt Tough Cases. It can generate horizontal hexagonal bit holders, arbitrary angled hexagonal bit holders along with T-blade Jigsaw blade holders. Many parameters are available to customize the holders including but not limited to the width of the holder, the number of bits it can hold based on the width of each bit, the thickness of the blades, and so on. Some STL file examples are provided. You can select to generate various test objects at the beginning of each script prior to printing a complete one in order to adjust the clearance if needed. Comments are given in the script for each parameter. Make sure that the script DeWaltLibrary.scad is in the same folder as the other scripts. This is why it does not work with Thingiverse Customizer. These designs are inspired by the designs of Benjamen Johnson (https://www.thingiverse.com/benjamenjohnson/designs). Printed with TPU gives better results. Nevertheless, they can be printer in any material. Support material is not required. An infill of 20% is recommended.
