Parametric drill depth stop

I don't like drill stop designs where a screw touches the drill bit, as they tend to skew on the drill bit, especially on drill bits with thin blades, like wood drill bits. With this design, the whole inner surface of the drill stop holds the drill bit.

To assembly it, you need an M3 washer, M3 nut and M3 screw, 12mm length (it may be a little bit shorter for smaller drill diameters). The nut should be a very tight fit to prevent turning.

A tip for an easy insertion of the nut:

insert a long M3 screw (at least 20mm) through the screw hole

put the nut on this screw and screw it till the nut is in the position

gently unscrew the long screw leaving the nut in the place

put the washer and the final screw

Print Settings

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

100%
