I found the design of randyy's spool on Thingiverse (www.thingiverse.com/thing:8317) very appealing. While the clip attachment works well, I opted for my existing spool holder that secures the spool via a rod. However, it leaned to one side when I tried using this spool. To rectify this, I added a simple tube protruding from the central axle, providing the necessary support for an upright position on the rod. To use my modified hub, download the original spool arms from Thingiverse (www.thingiverse.com/thing:8317). Additionally, while not part of my derivative design, I've included a picture featuring adjustable clips from smartroad's Thingiverse model (www.thingiverse.com/thing:16357) which enhance the spool's functionality when frequently switching filament colors.
