I really enjoyed designing the modified spool for randyy's creation on Thingiverse, www.thingiverse.com/thing:8317. The original spool design likely works well attached to the clip, but I opted not to use it. I already had a spool holder that secured the spool via a rod, and when I tried using this spool on it, it tipped over to one side. To resolve this issue, I simply added a straightforward tube protruding from the central axle. This provided the necessary support for the spool to remain upright when held by a basic rod. Instructions Print the modified hub first, then you will also want to download the original spool arms from www.thingiverse.com/thing:8317. Additionally, my setup utilizes adjustable clips from smartroad's creation on Thingiverse, www.thingiverse.com/thing:16357. I highly recommend these clips as they make the spool much more convenient to use when frequently switching between filament colors like I do.
