<h3>About</h3><p>I needed to find a way of tightening nuts on various pieces of electronics hardware (audio jack sockets, knobs, switches, etc) and normal metal sockets were too short, scratched front panels and enclosures, and were difficult to grip properly.</p><p>I took design cues from <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/5253-jhitesma/">jhitesma</a>'s finger wrench and designed this set of finger hex sockets.</p><p>It is based on his original, but with multiple modifications:</p><ul><li>Fully parametric, allowing for easy customization</li><li>Larger bore hole through the centre, making it possible to use these to tighten footswitch nuts.</li><li>Slightly redesigned grip, making it easier to hold.</li><li>Range of sizes possible (5-14mm included)</li></ul><p>Credit to jhitesma for the design principle.</p><p>Holder/stand/organizer for the full set coming soon!</p><h3>Printing</h3><p>I printed these in PLA on my Ender 3 Pro with a 0.4mm nozzle at a 0.3mm layer height. The parts are quite tolerant(0.3mm), so don't go overboard with calibration, a sloppy printer should work fine. Bed adhesion could be an issue for some - if you're concerned, print with a brim. Use at least 2 perimeters for strength.</p><h3>Customization</h3><p>The Onshape model is linked below, copy the document to your own account and edit the variables at the top of the feature list in the left hand panel to customize the model.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
