Parametric Groovemount
thingiverse
I just acquired an E3D v6 hotend and think it's a fantastic piece of equipment. One thing I observed was that the included groovemount wasn't exceptionally robust - it actually cracked under pressure, though the folks at E3D did graciously replace it for me. Additionally, all the other groove mounts required some form of lubrication or adjustment to slide smoothly into place. Unfortunately, this caused unwanted movement and wiggle during printing. To eliminate this issue altogether, I designed a groovemount that utilizes 2 M3 hexbolts for secure fastening, ensuring perfect alignment and minimizing the possibility of misalignment. The provided STL model has worked seamlessly with my E3D v6 3mm Direct feed hotend setup. However, it's worth noting that ABS is recommended for printing, as PLA may deform when printed at higher temperatures.
