a simple box with hexagonal cells and a lid. Instructions This is my very first attempt at designing a simple 3D object. It's merely an exercise for learning OpenScad. This version (2012-08-04) fixes a problem in the earlier version: rendering using CSG option in OpenScad took ages and consumed lots of memory whereas rendering usong CGAL option was almost immediate. This was due to overuse of differences (see the original bug report here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=676967 and the advices from upstream here: https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/127). These problems are gone now and rendering is fast for all rendering options, regardless of the number of cells in the box.
