A simple script that allows you to create a camera lens mount that will mount to a tripod. The adapter clamps around the lens body and then can be threaded into a tripod mount. Note that the model does not contain the threading itself, as we've found that threading the hole using a tap works better. Future work would be to allow for captive nuts The script allows you to change the diameter of the lens body, the tripod thread, and the clamp screw types. It should allow nearly any lens to be mounted directly to a tripod, reducing stress on the camera body for large lenses. If you have a large lens, make sure to print the ring thick and wide. As always, use at your own risk.
