Parametric Mini Conveyor

Parametric Mini Conveyor

thingiverse

A 3D-printable small conveyor unit. This is a fully parametric design; the STL is only provided to show how it looks, not for direct 3D printing. Instead, open the source code in CadQuery (links below), adapt the measures, generate your own adapted STL (and enable to split it into the different parts), then print and mount everything together. You need small bolts to connect the two halves and for tensioning, larger bolts for the axles, and small press-fit bearings. The CAD model was made using [CadQuery](https://cadquery.readthedocs.io/), an open source CAD software similar to OpenSCAD (but much more powerful). The latest version of this design's source code can always be found in [a Github repository](https://github.com/tanius/smallopticalsorter/tree/master/mechanics). Designed by [@aqdennis](https://github.com/aqdennis) and licenced under the Unlicence as part of the open source [Small Optical Sorter](https://github.com/tanius/smallopticalsorter) project. While the [Mini Conveyor](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1393372) design served as a great inspiration, no code was taken over directly. It's rather a re-implementation in CadQuery to make this design fully parametric.
