Parametric Motor Coupler
thingiverse
This model is derived from Eric's Coupler, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14489, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:19842, and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22041. The design has been rotated to optimize its usage on the stronger XY plane. Notably, it doesn't require any support material during printing. For best results, consider using 250-micron layers. To use this model, follow these instructions (copied from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22041/#instructions): 1. Print the coupler. 2. Insert a nut into the larger slot. 3. Place a 3mm nut in the smaller slot. 4. Put a short 3mm screw in the hole to hold the motor shaft. 5. Attach a nut to your Z-axis threaded rod. 6. Screw the rod into the captive nut from below until it stops. 7. Tighten the bottom nut against the rod.
