Parametric Stable Finely Adjustable z-Endstop
thingiverse
An adjustable endstop holder is designed for both optical and mechanical endstops. To ensure stability, it remains stationary as moving parts may cause wobble. The adjustment mechanism is connected to the X-carriage end using a screw already in place or by drilling a hole if necessary. The thumbscrew adjusts the height of the endstop flag with precision (0.025mm) via a 'decimal' thumbscrew, originally from a bed levelling kit (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:69074). A spring is required and can be printed if needed. The flag also features a fork to prevent the Z-smooth rod from rotating. Upon completion, the endstop will be easily adjustable with improved accuracy. However, due to a malfunctioning camera, the final setup isn't shown in the photo, where a metal placeholder is present at the top. Replace this placeholder with a custom cradle for your Z-rod and replace the lower nut with the thumbwheel.
