Parametric Vase

Parametric Vase

thingiverse

Yet another parametric vase design unfolds before me, its simplicity belies the complexity of OpenSCAD's syntax, which I'm still mastering, particularly when it comes to polygon() and linear_extrude(). Given any number of sides for the polygon, a unique vase is crafted with user-defined height and radius. Twist parameters can be entered to add an extra layer of sophistication to the design. The openClose parameter holds the key to unlocking multiple forms - set it to 0 and a dramatic spike emerges, while values greater than 1 give rise to either a shot glass or bowl.
