Parasaurolophus skull display - no supports

<p>I wanted to make my own rendition of Parasaurolophus skull, which was also easy to print. I tried to be accurate when sculpting it, but I'm no paleontologist, so I'm sorry in advance to all the dinosaur experts I might offend with this!</p><p>There are a few trickier spots on the skull, but I was able to print all the parts on my Prusa MK3 without supports.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h5>My print settings:</h5><p>0,15mm layer height (0,2mm for the stand)</p><p>15% infill</p><p>No supports&nbsp;</p><p>Only for “stand_rod”: printed with small brim for better adhesion</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h5>Print instructions</h5><p>Print all parts in their original orientation, no supports needed if your printer can handle some bridging and overhangs</p><p>Connector_square - 4 copies needed</p><p>Connector_round - 2 copies needed</p><p>I reccommend printing the stand, nameplate and stand rod in different appropriate colors for a more interesting final product.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h5>Assembly instructions</h5><p>Very straight-forward to combine all the pieces of the head and jaw using printed connectors. Use super glue to fasten together as needed. The jaw can be snapped into the head by slighly compressing it from the sides.</p><p>Nameplate should also be fastened by super-glue.&nbsp;</p><p>The rod should be stable with just friction fit.</p><h5>Post-processing</h5><p>For added realism, try weathering the print. I am a newbie at this, but I used a white primer spray, and then smeared black and brown acrylic paint on it to create the fossil-like texture (as seen in picture 2). Next time I'd use putty to cover up the connections.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I hope you enjoy this print!</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
