My Parasol hand crank broke. I opened it up and found that the metal piece had pretty much shattered. So, I grabbed my calipers and designed a replacement. Saved me around ~300€ from buying another expensive parasol! PLA is *not* strong enough for this application. I eventually tried ABS and it's been holding up just fine.
