Scanned with ReconstructMe and an Xbox Kinect at the Coney Island Scan-A-Rama booth at Danbury Makerfaire on Saturday June 8, 2013. It was the public debut of my new scanning rig- the Scan-O-Tron 3000, and the scans have been beautiful. I am about to kick off a Kickstarter for Scan-A-Rama and plan to open source my plans, so stay tuned. Coney Island Scan-A-Rama is a next generation portrait studio for the 21st century! In the grand tradition of amusement part portraiture, but updated for the era of 3D printing, this popup 3D portrait studio will be appearing at MakerFaires and in Coney Island throughout 2013. For more information or to order prints, please visit http://www.thegreatfredini.com/scan-a-rama I recommend printing at .27 or .1 mm layer height with no support. You may have to trim a couple bits of hanging plastic off, but this will look great with no support.
