Patio Shade - Replacement Hardware

This is a replacement end for a patio shade. Dimensions are the same as the original. My plastic ends broke off so I designed these ends.

The bungee ball bracket is here: https://www.printables.com/model/229157-patio-shade-bungee-ball-bracket-extra-or-replaceme

For strength and a clean print, this is printed as two pieces and you press them together with a hammer/screw driver. I put the screw driver through and then hammered the screw driver on one side to seat the two pieces together.

Print with PETG at the high end of the temp range 250C.

Print the hook on it's side with supports to support the gap.

5 perimeters.

Once assembled, this is hammered into place. There are partially sacrificial friction ribs that will shave a little when installing but will be tight in place.

I got 4mm bungee cord to replace the cord that broke. This whole setup is more durable than the original IMO.
