The Pattern builder helps children learn essential building blocks of beginning math. By manipulating the tiles, children will gain a better understanding of patterns in Math and their world around them. Custom Section Project: Pattern Builder Objectives:Students will gain an understanding of patterns in Math and in their world as well. Audiences Audiences: The pattern builder is great for kids in preschool and kindergarten as well as for special needs children. Preperation Preparation: 2 sets of slides and patterns should be printed. The instructor may build a pattern to serve as a visual aid or he or she may just verbally instruct the child on what to do. Results After printing the pattern builder you will have made a slide to hold pattern tiles as well as a set of tiles for manipulating on the slide. You may print 2 of these sets so the instructor can build a pattern to show the child or one set can be printed for the child to build patterns themselves.
