This is a PCB vise that clamps onto your workbench to increase stability while soldering. A "Helping Hands" tool can be mounted on top of the vise (via ball joint). This allows you to use the magnifying glass and alligator clips of the Helping Hands tool for inspecting and holding multiple wires, respectively, in detailed soldering projects. Many times when I use the traditional Helping Hands tool, I get everything positioned just the way I want it, and then I bump it and knock the tool over... Also, depending on the position of the magnifying glass, the tool may be top heavy and fall over. This PCB vise design solves these problems.
