Creating a 3D head model from scratch using Maya is a straightforward process that requires some basic knowledge of this powerful software. To start, launch Maya and navigate to the "Create" tab in the top menu bar. From there, select "Polygon Primitives" followed by "Sphere." This will generate a three-dimensional sphere that serves as the foundation for your head model. Next, use the "Loop Cut Tool" to cut through the sphere at regular intervals, creating flat surfaces where you can apply texture and details later on. With these basics in place, you're ready to begin modeling the features of your 3D head, such as eyes, nose, mouth, and jawline.
