Peanut Butter Mixer

This is a simple design to mix natural peanut butter when the oil has separated to the top. It simply spins at low speed for a few hours until mixed. 3D Printed Parts: 1x Motor Mount 4x Roller 2x Shaft 2x Keeper 1x Motor Gear 1x Side 2 Bearing 1x Side 3 Bearing 1x Big Gear Additional Parts: DC Motor (links below) 5x 608 bearings (links below) 5V DC Power Supply (any usb charger should work) 2-3 inches of mountain bike inner tube 7 miscellaneous screws 4.5" x 6.5" plywood (.5" to .75" thick, or you can print the base .stl if you have a large enough printer) Steps to Assemble: 1. Drill pilot holes in the plywood base. The base drawing is 100% scale, so you can just print it out and drill or mark through it. 2. Press the five bearings into the sides. 3. Mount one of the sides (the side with two bearings goes closer to the edge). 4. Cut the inner tube in to 4 pieces and stretch it over the rollers. This gives them a bit of grip. This may not be necessary, especially on the two rollers not connected to the gear. 5. Fit two rollers on to each shaft. 6. Slide the shafts into the bearings and mount the second side. 7. Fit the big gear onto the shaft near the remaining holes on the base. 8. Fit the small gear onto the motor, and the motor into the mount. 9. Slide the motor/gear/mount into place and attach to base. 10. Solder the power supply wires to the motor. Polarity shouldn't matter, it will just change the direction the motor rotates. 11. Add the last screw and tie the wire around it for stress relief (optional). 12. Place the keepers on the sides, fit as close to peanut butter jar as possible. 13. Plug it in and try it out! 14. Put a dab of glue or epoxy on all the connections to keep them from moving. 15. Make another one and give it to a friend!
