Pedal Extension for Electric Unicycle - new version

A common issue with many Electric Unicycyles seems to be that the pedals are too short for many riders, so I made some pedal covers, which will extend them on both ends and on the outer edge. Also they will cover the sharp edges on the metal pedals. The pedals will still fold up normally even with these covers attached. This is a revised version which is more rounded than the previous one, which had some issues with the outer corners sometimes touching the ground in tight turns. These will fit pedals that are 17 cm long and have straight ridges (like the ones sold by Shenzen Microworks). Check pictures for details on compatible pedal version! The pedal cover´s grooves will lock to the ridges and prevent them from sliding off, but if you want to continue using them, I suggest that you attach them with two short M5 screws on each pedal. You´ll need to drill a small hole into the top of your metal pedal and cut a M5 thread (or use an M5 nut inside the pedal). Also, I recommend to add some anti-slipping tape to the top surface of the pedal cover. Despite being made of PLA or ABS plastic, stability should not be an issue since all the main weight is still carried by the metal pedal underneath, so there is no significant load on the extended parts. It seems quite unlikely that these pedal covers could break unexpectedly in other situations than a crash or ground contact.
