Pelican 1040, 22LR Ammo Storage

Work on the beta testing is completed. You can see in the final design in the photos. The tray does not sit on the bottom of the case, leaving a little run to store the empty (flat folded) ammo cartons. The tray was designed for use with the solid cover 1040 or 1050... On the solid cover boxes, the lid has a foam liner which will prevent the rounds from moving. This tray will also work with the clear lids cases, you will simply have a small gap between the top of the round and the case. I recommend if using the tray with the clear case, you put a 5mm piece of foam over the rounds before closing the case...I have included a photo of the foam I'm using, it was purchased from my local Hobby Lobby... This is a 22LR storage solution for LaPua and SK style ammo trays... The tray will hold four 50 round SK/Lapua, ammo trays and fit nicely in a Pelican 1040/1050 micro storage case. The STL uploaded is now functional. If you would like to see changes, please let me know... also keep you eye out for another design coming soon. I will be posting another tray for 22LR storage based on the same fit format (1040/1050), only the ammo trays will have their individual space, i.e. you can store one, two, three or four 50 rd ammo boxes... Design does not require all four 50 rd trays... Happy Modeling...
