I like pelican hooks. They're simple, useful, yet elegant pieces of hardware. And while teaching myself Solidworks, I made this one. Wanting it to work smoothly and look nice, I avoided supports as much as I could, by splitting the pieces in two, and by giving the pin a flat side. I added alignment holes on the mating sides, which allow short bits of 1.75mm filament to be inserted to act as alignment pins when gluing them together. The only support that is required, on one end of the main link, is very easy to remove. I print them with 4+ perimeters for strength, and 0.1 layers for a nice finish. And put a drop of superglue on the countersink of the pin when you insert it, so it stays put.
