Pelican-Style Hard Case - Modular and Customizable

Pelican-Style Hard Case - Modular and Customizable

thingiverse

This instructable is a 3D printing project that will give you a Pelican-style hard case for photo equipment, a laptop, gun case, tool box, whatever... The case shown is made from 7 case pieces printed in numerous quantities, and hinge, latch and handle. The final count of pieces for this case is around 34, to make a smaller or larger case print fewer or more panels and rails. There is more detail and instructions on Instructables.com where I've published it: https://www.instructables.com/id/Modular-3D-Printed-Hardbox/ I've marked this as a work-in-progress as the current hinges are somewhat light, I'll publish improved hinges at a later date. I also think a handle with a metal rod glued in the middle will make a safer handle that's a lot less likely to break. Also, I may redesign the panels to use 2" insets instead of 4", that will allow for a better range of sizes if using 2" and 4" panels.
