Pencil mount for a CNC with exchangable adapters for different pen sizes/styles. Instructions This design can/shall be adapted for your needs but serves as a design concept for a mount where only a tiny adapter can be exchanged in order to usr different types of pencils. The inner diameter of the pipe is 16mm - so the outer dimension of the adapters needs to be slightly smaller than that. On my Up! Mini printer a radie of 0.15-0.2mm less (diameter 15.7 mm in this case) seems to be perfect for a good press fit based on my experience. Printing it upright (or even better upside down for no support needed) helps with the layers locking each other by friction between body and adapters.. You needs to print two adapters (one upper and one lower) with your own meassurements , unless you happend to have an IKEA pen :-)- Most likely you also need to take the idea and create you own design to fit your CNC. Update1: The exchangable adapters worked great and I also did adapters in other sizes for other pens - next step is probably a spring loaded pen as "lead pencils" have a hard time to reach the paper after some lines has been drawn.... (I also tried freehanging pens and used gravity but the drawback is that it can't be lifted....) Update2: Made my first OpenSCAD script ever to have it customizable in Thingiverse :-)
