Pen, Pencil, Office Supply Holder

This holder/mini bin is designed to hold pencils, pens, and small office items like paper clips, binder clips, pins, erasers, and even money like coins! I am new to solidworks and 3D printing and I wanted to take a simple pencil/pen holder and give it a little bit of an edge and creative features. I included an inside divider in the shape of a "V" for victory given because of the sense of accomplishment. The challenges I faced was figuring out how to create the parallelograms and hexagons around the body and having them be evenly spaced as much as possible and getting the top hexagon edges to look like a bin. Despite these challenges, it was fun creating something for the first time! Future revisions can include changing the number of dividers inside, adding a unique divider, changing the size of the holder, appearance, and color. 3D printing is very unique and amazing and being able to learn about types of materials and applications will allow for further exploration of design and creativity.
