This helpful tool used to organize classrooms and offices can be a gateway of creativity to students and workers alike. It is used for storage of writing utensils and to make areas a bit more organized. How I Designed This Pencil/Pen Holder I designed this object using 3D Builder. 3D Builder is the default Microsoft 3D design software. During the creation of this Pencil/pen Holder I used tools like Scale, Group, Rotate, Move, and quite a few others. I took measurements from pencils and pens to determine how large the container should be. Custom Section Project: Organization of Space Objectives: The objective of this project is for students to design an effective and easy way to store classroom supplies (i.e. Pencils, pens, glue, scissors, etc.). Audiences: This project would probably work best in an early middle school environment because students around this age are usually very interested in science and technology. Preparation: Students should at least know the basics of the program that they are using to design the object as well as have printed at least one thing in the past. Steps: Students should be put into groups of two or three so they can brainstorm ideas of what they could print that would make their classroom more organized Students should have a good amount of time (at least a week) to brainstorm, design, and print their idea. Apply the ideas of the students and place their final projects around the classroom (this will make it so more students will come in contact with these objects). A student should have at least designed something creative and something that can at least hold a glue stick. Students should be graded more on how they can work in a team rather than their final project (this is more so up to the teacher than it is up to me).
