Pencil Clip for Glasses

One of the things I hate most about wearing glasses is the difficulty involved with holding a pencil over my ear. Before I wore glasses, I always had a pencil over my ear. We would go everywhere together. Oh, the fun we had. Recently, I realized that the side-pieces (temples) of my glasses are just empty real estate waiting to be developed. I designed a way to hold a Maglite Solitaire on one side-piece (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3712971), so why couldn't I do the same with my old friend, the graphite-based writing stick? IMPORTANT: This will not work on every pair of glasses. The side-pieces of my glasses are 3mm tall by 1.2mm wide. If you wear thick-rimmed hipster glasses, this will not work for you. This was also designed to take advantage of flexible frame glasses. Don't break your glasses trying to make this fit. Avoid an "I told you so." Version Notes: Version 1: Lightweight with a minimal print time. Version 1 Short: I have also included a shorter version that fits on a pair of glasses I wear in the shop that include side shields. Version 3: On V3 I have resolved some fitment issues and strengthened the glasses clips and body. It is generally more robust. (Yes, there was an unpublished Version 2; this one incorporates those improvements and others) Carpenter's Version 1: RECOMMENDED! I remixed this to hold carpenter's pencils and ended up with a design that holds carpenter's pencils AND writing pencils AND a standard Bic pen.. It is built on the more robust frame of the V3. I have added that file here as "GlassesCarpentersPencilClipv1." This is my recommended version because of it's versatility. The other version of the remix can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3723812. General Notes: 1. I can't promise that this will work with all pencils. It has been tested and does work with both the Ticonderoga and Mirado brands. 2. The design works equally as well for righties and lefties, Republicans and Democrats. 3. For added safety, carry eraser forward. That way, if your face runs into another face there is less likelihood of stabbing the other face. Unless, of course, you WANT to stab the other face. That choice is entirely up to you. 4. If you do wear thicker framed glasses, take a look at this thing (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2269671) by Jeremycon. He designed a similar idea for thicker framed glasses. It looks like a very nice design.
