Pencil Holders and Apple Pen Holder

I created this design for the #studentdesignchallenge to assist individuals in being more organized when attending their virtual classes. It is supposed to act as a work station where you can put various items into the storage cups and will always be in arms reach. Another feature is an apple pencil holder for individuals that uses an iPad mini for note-taking and need a place to put their apple pencil as the first generation pen is not magnetic and can't attach to the iPad itself. The flat platform between the storage cups allows for someone to put their phone propped up or a calculator for easy access. Some issues I ran into during this project was trying to figure out how to create a slope for a way to prop up a phone in between the cup storage. If I can redesign this project, I would definitely include one cup holder and the other one being a place to store USB drives, SSD, and dongles that are needed for one computer or laptop. I would also add a collapsable phone holder in the middle. 3D printing would help me make this design better because I can bring it into real life and see what features would work better if done another way. I can also see the dimensions better and if the design can hold up the weight of a phone or calculator without tipping over.
