Penguin Wedding Cake Topper

Penguins need lovin' too... and when they do, this is the cake topper of choice for their wedding. Groom comes equipped with: top hat Dr. Who-approved bow tie Bride comes equipped with: bow (with enough space to glue veil material under it) Instructions ABS, 230/110 temps, 70/90 speeds, 0.1 height Painting is quite time-consuming, but it pays to invest in surface preparation. I painted using automotive lacquer (Dupli-Color) and gloss clear. Wet sanding went quickly with a low grit, moving up to 1000 grit. Dremel rotary tool helped with the detailed spots. Blue painter's tape is good for masking, but take care to lay it down flat, and trim precisely with an Xacto knife to create color zones. Paint in thin layers (I did 4 color, 2 clear) and sand between them (except during clear coats).
