Penny Bottle Opener with Embedded Magnet

Penny Bottle Opener with Embedded Magnet

My take on the penny bottle opener. There is a space for an optional 0.25" long, 0.25" diameter (6.4 x 6.4 mm) cylindrical magnet just above the cap which will allow the opener to retain the cap. Will open bottles with or without the magnet. If you do want to embed a magnet, inspect the layers and find the last layer before the magnet space is covered and insert a pause at the end of that layer in your g-code. I've used the following with a MP Mini: M401 ; store position M600 0 0 0 0 0 ; pause M402 ; restore position The above may not work for all printers but many people have experimented with embedding objects in prints so you should find plenty of examples online. If you'd like a version for your country's most convenient currency, shoot me a message with the dimensions in millimeters and I'll try to make an updated model (no guarantees on delivery time!). Lastly, the penny insertion is an interference fit - you may have to force it but it should not be loose. I have printed several dozen instances on multiple printers and have not run into fit issues. If you have fit issues with the penny, there's a good chance something is off in your print settings or printer calibration. Likewise for strength if you follow my suggestions for infill. Please adjust accordingly before commenting.
