Bottle Opener that utilizes a penny. SPU Engineering class project. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Silver Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .1 Infill: 25% Notes: Heating the penny with a flame before inserting it into the slot is useful and makes for a tighter fit. Make sure to remove all support material for the slot where the penny is inserted or else the penny will not go in far enough. Try to make sure at least half the penny is inserted, but 3/4 is recommended to limit the penny from bending. Requires a decent amount of force. Post-Printing Remove support material. Slot for penny contains support material that is more easily removed with a small allen key. If not enough material is removed the penny will not go in far enough. How I Designed This Using CAD (Solidworks) software for a SPU engineering class. Designed to work with SPU Prosthetic Hand. An original idea for me but not an original concept upon further research.
