Once I tried to print https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3464880 and it looks like those parts are too tiny for my printer, I could not print them with a good quality. Moreover that puzzle is too small, while I would prefer "normal size" dodecahedron puzzle. Huge thanks to [Sam](https://www.thingiverse.com/5284973) that he shared puzzle sources in Onshape. I could not just learn how the puzzle was built, but also make needed adjustments. So please welcome my version. First of all it is scaled 33% up so that resulting puzzle is around 90mm. But this is not a simple scale up - I deeply reworked internal mechanism to adjust it to the new size. Also original puzzle had an issue - due to absense of springs puzzle tensioning was hard to maintain. If screws are too tight the puzzle does not turn well, if screws are too loose the puzzle explodes on non-accurate moves. My mechanism takes this issue into account and provides slightly larger hooks, as well as springs on internal centers. Number of parts to print: - 1x Core - 6x Megaminx Center - 20x Megaminx Edge - 15x Megaminx Corner - 25x Pyraminx Crystal Edge - 55x Starminx Point - 20x Pentultimate Corner - 11x Pentultimate Center You will also need 6x 0.5x4x10 springs (can be bought on aliexpress) and 6x of M3x20 screws with a small head. As for printing. My favorite technique is to split each pieces into 2 halves, print them separately, and then glue halves together. This allows printing without supports. Such split pieces come with 'Split' infix in the file name. If you still prefer normal printing - I added 'As Is' parts as well. As for other print settings: - 0.3mm or 0.4mm nozzle - 0.1mm layer (0.2mm is also ok, but will probably require more sanding) - 2-3 perimeters, 20% infill - cooling as needed - no supports for 'split' version I recommend ABS plastic as it is easy to sand. PLA and PETG will also work well, but they are much harder to sand. ABS can be glued with acethone, PLA/PETG work well with dychlorethane. Core piece has a few througholes. They are needed for precise positioning of the halves, as well as improve inter-layer adhesion (core part should accept pretty big forces). Just glue pieces of filament there. Printed/glued pieces will probably require some sanding to remove surface unevennes and glue seam. After that pieces can be painted with a spray paint. Final thing to do is cut stickers.
