Pepsi Perfect Future Bottle Lid

Turn any pilsner glass into a Pepsi Perfect bottle from THE FUTURE with this scalable Pepsi Perfect lid. Print it in time for Marty McFly's arrival on October 21, 2015. Where are the flying cars, you ask? I don't know, but the Pepsi Perfect bottles come from the future technology of 3-D printers. HOW IT WORKS: The lids are scaled to have an inside diameter of 1 inch, way too small unless you want a future shot glass. Measure (in inches) the inside diameter of your favorite pilsner glass, easily obtainable at any thrift store, and scale it by that much. My glass has an inside diameter of 3.17", so I scaled it 3.17 times larger. At this scale, a plastic tube of 5/16" diameter from the hardware store made a perfect straw. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: There are two lid options: one piece (no straw hole) or with straw hole. Both print easily without support. No hardware or finishing is needed for the hinged straw piece; it's built right in. How I Designed This Is it screen accurate? The main focus of this project was not to make a carefully measured screen accurate prop, but instead to make something that would allow anyone with access to a 3-D printer to hold something very similar to the prop in their hands. I did take care to design it based on how the props appear in Back to the Future 2. I made two versions because two versions are seen on screen. The first Pepsi Perfect bottle seen in Cafe 80's doesn't appear to have the flip up straw. Later, Marty's daughter is seen at home with a bottle that does have a flip up straw. Unlike other prop recreations you'll find online, my flip top flips all the way back as seen there. Custom Section Notes I know, now you need the Pepsi Perfect logo. It just looks great. Tell your friends before they throw Pepsi across the room. What makes Pepsi "Perfect"? Some sources say it has added vitamins. I suspect a splash of lime, vanilla, or rum.
