Perception Neuron "Non-Slip Socket" for PN3

thingiverse

This socket design for the PN3 sensor prevents the sensor from slipping off during more intense motion capture sessions. It is designed to latch onto the sensor and not let go no matter what. Add a good quality Velcro backing (you can get just the hook side in the form of a roll of tape). The low profile hooks seem to work best. To insert the sensor, just insert it at a slight angle. To remove the sensor, insert your thumbnail through the opening and give is a slight pry just below the sensors curvature. It will pop out effortlessly. IMPORTANT: Do not print this using PLA or any other rigid material, you are going to have a rough time trying to get your sensor back out of the socket. Use a bendy TPU instead. This ensures the socket will bend and conform to the sensor and latch on, as well as a allow you to easily pop the sensor out when needed.
