On the WEN 4208 8" drill press (awesome item!) you can't put the Cross Slide on and have room for end mill bits if the platform is in place. I swing the platform to the back and use this block (the STL) to lift the cross slide vice up high enough that I can put a work piece in the vice. At this height, I can now use the end mill bits to face work pieces because with the chuck extended down it comes close the the top of the vice. I think that this height yields the largest work area top to bottom. I needed a 1.5" spacer for the Cross Slide vice so that I could use the End Mill bits to do facing moves. with this part and the this is now possible. It's a 2 person job to secure these bolts! unless you tip the drill press on it's side. Use a 19mm wrench and a crescent wrench to secure. I used these bolts to secure it after drilling 2 new holes.
